Membership & Billing
Can I pay my monthly fee with insurance?
No. We don’t bill insurance, which means no copays, no deductibles, and no surprise claims. Instead, you pay us directly with a credit or debit card — keeping costs simple, transparent, and predictable.
Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes. There’s a one-time enrollment fee of $100. This covers your onboarding and ensures we can start providing care right away.
Can I cancel at any time?
All DPC members can cancel their membership at any time — we just ask for notice before your next billing cycle. Longevity Plus members require a 12-month commitment at the start of the program.
Are you concierge medicine?
We’re often compared to concierge care, but there’s a key difference: affordability. Concierge practices typically cost thousands per year and still bill insurance. Our membership is transparent and accessible, with one flat monthly fee and no insurance paperwork.

Can I pay for a single visit instead of joining?
No. We are a membership-only practice. This allows us to provide better access, longer visits, and consistent preventive care, rather than one-off, rushed appointments.
If I already have health insurance, why would I want this?
Our model works alongside your insurance. Think of Xcelsior as your go-to for everyday care — same-day visits, direct messaging, preventive planning, and chronic condition management. Insurance can still cover hospitalizations, specialists, or emergencies. Together, you get the best of both worlds: fast, unrushed primary care plus financial protection for bigger medical needs.
Are immunizations covered in the monthly fee?
Immunizations are not covered under the monthly membership. They are provided through our partner, VaxCare, which bills your insurance plan directly. This way, you can still access vaccines conveniently while keeping your membership simple and affordable.

Can I keep my current doctors?
Most of our members see us as their primary care provider and use insurance for specialists, emergencies, and hospital care. We’re happy to coordinate with your other providers and can refer you when specialized care is needed.
