Frequently Asked Questions

Can we pay your monthly fees with our current health insurance plan?

Because we do not accept any insurance plans, we will be considered out of network.

Is there an enrollment fee?

There is a one time $100 enrollment fee.

Can we cancel at any time?

Yes, you may cancel at anytime at no additional charge.   Please keep in mind that the enrollment fee is nonrefundable and any discounted services through third parties may be able to charge you full price for any pending lab work.

Can I just pay for a visit instead of the monthly fee?

Because we are a membership only practice, we do not offer the payment option per office visit.  We find that fee for service only promotes shorter, hurried visits and  increases the risk something can be missed.

I have health insurance, why would I want to pay for DPC on top of that?

Great question and one we receive frequently.  Please keep in mind there is a difference between healthcare and health insurance.  Direct primary care is health care and not health insurance first and foremost. We are able to provide you 80-90% of the care you would need.  Most insurance plans now have copays and high deductibles that can often times exceed the cost of an annual membership.  In addition, health insurance promotes volume over valued care. Hence, most primary care practices can only offer very short visits and long waiting times.   We still feel you need some type of coverage should a catastrophic event occur, such as the need to go to the ER or a hospitalization.  Because we can provide same day visits and more time with our patients, you are much less likely for the need to be hospitalized or have to go to the ER.  Lastly, we are better able to meet the needs of your busy schedule. So we ask you, how much do you value your time?

Are you considered concierge medicine?

Although we may often be compared to concierge medicine, we are technically different.  For starters, we do not charge the high fees that concierge medicine charges.  In addition, we do not bill your insurance on top of your membership fees.  The high fees of concierge medicine allow for some practices to do expanded services such as house calls.

Are immunizations covered with the monthly fee?

We offer vaccines at cost.  However, we utilize a third party company, Vaxcare, who can bill your insurance for any vaccines that you may need.

Can you provide care remotely via virtual visits?

Yes, we can provide scheduled virtual visits at no additional charge. These types of visits work great for chronic management type of visits.  We would encourage office visits for an acute issue  but we may triage your questions via texts if desired.

How does the payment work?

Based on the option you want,  we can accept automatic payments  monthly or you can obtain a 10% discount by paying your annual premium in full.
